My decision to run for Beaumont City Council is rooted in one simple belief: our community deserves leadership that is focused not only on where Beaumont is today, but where it will be twenty and thirty years from now. Growth is inevitable, but the question is whether we will shape that growth with purpose or simply react to it. I believe Beaumont deserves leaders who are willing to plan for the future, invest in our people, and create opportunities that allow families to thrive.
Public service has defined my life. I proudly served four years in the United States Navy, where I learned discipline, accountability, teamwork, and servant leadership. Those values have guided every chapter of my life. After my military service, I spent years volunteering in youth ministry, mentoring and encouraging young people during some of the most formative years of their lives. Today, I continue that commitment by serving on the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Club of the San Gorgonio Pass and by overseeing the Riverside County Youth Commission, where I have the privilege of helping hundreds of high school students develop as leaders, become engaged in their communities, and prepare for their futures.
Service has never been about holding a title. It has been about making a lasting impact, building stronger communities, and leaving things better than I found them.
That same philosophy has led me to become actively involved in Beaumont's future. I currently serve as the Chair of the Beaumont Economic Development Committee and as a member of the City's Economic Development Plan Steering Committee. In these roles, I have worked alongside community leaders, business owners, City staff, and regional partners to develop strategies that position Beaumont for long-term economic success. Those experiences have given me firsthand knowledge of both the opportunities before us and the challenges we must address if we want Beaumont to remain one of the Inland Empire's premier communities.
Economic development is one of the cornerstones of my campaign because a strong local economy creates opportunities for everyone. However, I believe economic development should be measured by more than simply filling commercial buildings or increasing tax revenue. It should be measured by the quality of careers we create for Beaumont residents and the opportunities we provide for future generations.
For too long, communities like ours have often been forced to choose between warehouses or watching opportunity pass us by. I believe Beaumont deserves another option.
My vision is to aggressively recruit advanced manufacturing, technology, engineering, healthcare, and other innovative industries that provide stable careers and living wages. These employers create long-term economic stability, diversify our local economy, support our small businesses, and allow more residents to live and work in the same community. Beaumont's strategic location, growing population, and talented workforce make us an ideal destination for these industries. We simply need leadership willing to pursue them with purpose.
But attracting businesses is only one half of the equation.
We must also prepare Beaumont's next generation to fill those careers.
One of my greatest passions is youth development, and it is one of the reasons I chose a career dedicated to serving young people. Every day, I witness the incredible potential of students throughout Riverside County. They are innovative, hardworking, and eager to contribute. Our responsibility is to provide them with opportunities that allow them to succeed without feeling they must leave Beaumont to build a successful future.
That is why I want to strengthen the connection between Beaumont Unified School District, local employers, higher education, and our Career Technical Education (CTE) programs. Our students should graduate with more than a diploma, they should graduate with meaningful career pathways. Whether their future includes college, military service, apprenticeships, certifications, or entering the workforce directly, Beaumont should be a city where opportunity begins.
Imagine students in engineering and robotics programs working directly with advanced manufacturing companies. Imagine healthcare providers mentoring future nurses and medical professionals. Imagine local technology firms offering internships that become full-time careers. Imagine our students being able to stay in Beaumont because the jobs they dreamed of are available right here at home.
That future is possible if we begin building those partnerships today.
Through my work overseeing the Riverside County Youth Commission, I have seen firsthand what happens when young people are trusted with responsibility and connected with real-world opportunities. Students become leaders. They become problem solvers. They become engaged citizens who care about their communities. Investing in youth is not simply another program—it is one of the smartest economic investments a city can make.
My vision also includes protecting the quality of life that makes Beaumont such a special place to call home. As our city continues to grow, we must invest in infrastructure, support public safety, maintain our parks and recreational opportunities, and preserve the welcoming, family-oriented character that has attracted so many residents. Responsible growth means ensuring that our roads, public services, and amenities keep pace with development while maintaining the sense of community that defines Beaumont.
I am not running for City Council because I am seeking a political title. I am running because I believe Beaumont's greatest opportunities are still ahead of us. My life has been built around service—from serving our nation in the United States Navy, to mentoring youth through church ministry, serving on the Board of the Boys & Girls Club of the San Gorgonio Pass, leading the Riverside County Youth Commission, and helping shape Beaumont's economic future through the Economic Development Committee and Economic Development Plan Steering Committee.
These experiences have prepared me to serve Beaumont with integrity, collaboration, and a long-term vision focused on results rather than politics.
Together, we can build a Beaumont that attracts high-quality employers, creates careers with living wages, prepares our students for tomorrow's workforce, supports local businesses, protects our quality of life, and continues to be a city where families are proud to live, work, and raise their children.
This campaign is about more than the next election. It is about the next generation.
I am asking for your support because I believe Beaumont deserves leadership with a proven record of service, a vision for sustainable economic growth, a commitment to developing our youth, and the determination to ensure Beaumont's brightest days are still ahead.
A strong local economy begins with creating opportunities for residents to build successful careers close to home. I will focus on attracting advanced manufacturing, technology, healthcare, engineering, and other high-growth industries that provide living wages and long-term career opportunities. By supporting business attraction, encouraging responsible development, and strengthening partnerships with regional employers, we can diversify Beaumont's economy, expand our tax base, and reduce the need for residents to commute long distances for work.
Our young people should be able to graduate from Beaumont schools with a clear pathway to success. I will work to strengthen partnerships between Beaumont Unified School District, Career Technical Education (CTE) programs, local businesses, colleges, and workforce agencies to create internships, apprenticeships, mentorships, and career exploration opportunities. By building a stronger connection between education and industry, we can ensure Beaumont's students are prepared to fill the high-quality jobs we are working to bring into our community.
Growth should improve our community, not outpace it. I support responsible development that invests in infrastructure, public safety, parks, recreation, and essential city services while preserving the family-oriented character that makes Beaumont a great place to live. Every development decision should consider its long-term impact on traffic, public safety, housing, water resources, and community amenities so that Beaumont remains a safe, vibrant, and welcoming city for current and future generations.
